Super Shout Showdown Free-for-All Mode

Free-for-All is Super Shout Showdown’s spectacle mode. Up to sixteen players share a wide map with puzzles, events, secret spells, and mid-match kit theft. One documented framing is first to 10 kills inside a shrinking zone. Demo previews during Steam Next Fest proved the playlist’s popularity — enough that timers got extended.

Signature systems

  • Secret spells for explorers — including temporary Excalibur from the sword puzzle (Secret Spells).
  • Spell steal / dropped grimoires from defeated players.
  • Zone damage credit windows after you tag someone.
  • Spellbook rewards emphasised in demo notes (Progression).
  • Spawn and zone edge bugfixes shipped across hotfixes — keep the client updated (Patch Notes).

Who should queue FFA

Players who finished basics in Getting Started and can cast under distraction. If your ASR collapses in noise, bring Typing Mode or read Mic Fix.

Strategy gateway

Deep tactics live in How to Play Free-for-All. Spell priorities shift toward flex tools like Fly and adaptable bombs — see Builds archetype 4. Edit permanent kits in the Grimoire.

Comparison sheet

Versus Duel: more RNG, more information warfare. Versus Team Battle (3v3 / 4v4): less permanent alliance, more temporary third-party politics.
