Super Shout Showdown Modes Hub
Pick the right battlefield for your spells and casting style.
Super Shout Showdown ships three headline multiplayer structures: Duel, Team Battle, and Free-for-All. Each rewards different Grimoire shapes and different casting nerves. This hub explains when to queue what and routes you into deep pages.
Duel — pure skill mirrors
One versus one decides the stronger spellcaster. Perfect for testing chants and studying the Duel Guide. Full mode notes: Duel.
Team Battle — combo magic
Fight as a squad in chaotic 3v3 / 4v4 playlists, chain crowd control into shared ultimates, and cover allies after Heal nerfs. Details: Team Battle.
Free-for-All — sixteenfold chaos
Up to 16 players, secret spells (including temporary Excalibur), steals, first-to-10-kills framings, and zone drama. Read FFA Mode, How to Play Free-for-All, and Secret Spells.
Choosing with your hardware
Shouting ASR latency feels worse in FFA noise. If your GPU is near minimum VRAM, prefer Duels or Typing Mode while you upgrade — see System Requirements and Mic Fix.
Choosing with your social energy
Want choreographed anime team ultimates? Team Battle. Want loot stories? FFA. Want clean VODs? Duel.
Progression overlap
All modes feed Grimoire familiarity (Progression). FFA uniquely emphasises spellbook rewards and mid-match kit swaps. Duels emphasise consistency. Team Battles emphasise communication — separate chat PTT from cast PTT.
Wiki itinerary
New: Getting Started → Modes hub → one mode page → matching how-to guide → Builds. Returning veterans: skim Patch Notes and Release & Demo, then re-check Tier List.
